Job Posting: Digital Forensics Expert (Remote – U.S. Based) Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 + Incentives Position Type: Full-Time, Remote We are partnering with a boutique legal services provider to identify an experienced Digital Forensics Expert who can step in as a true Subject Matter Expert (SME) in forensic data collection and analysis. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in forensic tools and methodologies, a willingness to serve as a testifying expert, and—critically—an existing book of business. If you're ready to leverage your expertise and client relationships to play a high-impact, front-facing role in complex digital investigations, this could be the right fit. Key Responsibilities: Perform forensic data collections across a wide range of devices and data types (e.g., mobile, email, cloud, endpoints). Analyse and interpret complex data sets to support investigations, litigation, and regulatory matters. Act as a testifying expert and be willing to sit for deposition when needed. Advise clients on defensible forensic protocols and best practices. Collaborate with legal teams and internal stakeholders as a technical SME. Maintain and grow relationships within your active book of clients, supporting project development and delivery. Requirements: Proven expertise in digital forensics, including hands-on experience with industry-standard tools such as EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, Magnet AXIOM, Cellebrite, and others. Demonstrated experience managing forensic collection and analysis projects. Must have an active book of clients and the ability to generate new business from existing relationships. Willingness and ability to provide expert testimony and participate in depositions. Excellent communication and report-writing skills. Preferred Qualifications: JD or legal background (preferred but not required). Relevant certifications such as CFCE, GCFA, CCE, EnCE, or similar. Experience in expert witness testimony or litigation support environments.
