Clinical Social Worker, Maternal Fetal Care, Boston at Boston Children's Hospital summary:

Provides comprehensive clinical social work services to pregnant women diagnosed with fetal anomalies at a specialized fetal care center. Responsible for mental health assessment, psychosocial consultation, and care coordination within Boston Children’s Hospital and partner institutions. Plays a key role in developing the psychosocial support aspects of a fetal surgery program while engaging in crisis management and interdisciplinary teamwork.

Position Summary/Department Summary:
Full-time social work position in the Fetal Care and Surgery Center providing a range of clinical services to pregnant women diagnosed with a fetal anomaly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screening/assessment/treatment of maternal mental health
• Psychosocial consultation to multidisciplinary team
• Coordination of care within BCH and with partner delivery hospitals
• Opportunity to be involved in the development of the psychosocial arm of a new fetal surgery program.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• Master’s degree in social work

Experience:

• Comfort with crisis management, goals of care discussions and bereavement
• Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is essential.
• Interest in program development and research is desirable.
• Bilingual/bicultural/diverse candidates are encouraged to apply

Licensure/Certifications:

• LICSW in the state of MA required.

Schedule: Four ten hour days Monday through Thursday
This is an outpatient position that is 100% onsite.
