Job Description

Koobz is an innovative, next-gen footwear manufacturing company that is changing the game with a tool-less workflow to launch cutting-edge shoes. Our VC-backed company is pushing the limits of 3D printing, machine vision, robotics, and automation to redefine how footwear is designed and produced. We are looking for talented individuals to join our team and help us revolutionize the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize 3D printing processes, focusing on FDM/FFF technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and refine CAD models, primarily using SolidWorks.
  • Utilize Cura Slicer and Prusa Slicer for slicing and preparing print files.
  • Generate and modify G-code for optimal printing performance.
  • Create G-code post-processing scripts to enhance workflow and efficiency.
  • Conduct research and development to explore new materials and printing techniques.
  • Analyze print data to troubleshoot issues and improve print quality.
  • Collaborate with the design team to integrate innovative solutions into product development.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and interns in 3D printing best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in 3D printing, ideally with FDM/FFF technology.
  • Proficient in CAD modeling, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of 3D printing processes and materials.
  • Expert knowledge of G-code generation and modification.
  • Experience in coding G-code post-processing scripts is a significant plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Ventura, CA
