Job Description

St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally-ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college is seeking an Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. This position will focus on fundraising for College Advancement through personal contacts and facilitation of events that assist the development effort. The Associate Director will identify prospects, cultivate and close both leadership annual gifts, and major gifts. This position will serve as a strategic partner to College Advancement, ensuring alignment with central fundraising initiatives and supporting the overarching goals of the college’s development and alumni relations programs. The role also plays a key part in fostering a culture of philanthropy by expanding stakeholders’ understanding of the impact and importance of giving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and close event/program sponsorship opportunities for St. Norbert College. This includes maintaining a portfolio of sponsorship partners, developing outreach strategies, coordinating meetings, presenting proposals/making foundation grant requests, and documenting business engagement touchpoints throughout the college.
  • Identify and maintain business and community relations by utilizing a variety of resources including research, networks, and attendance in a wide range of community events. Align college strategy, business portfolio, event measurement metrics, and information on both internal and external programs to continuously identify and cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships with the College.
  • Work collaboratively with college personnel to create proposals/programs that ensure sponsorship components are in alignment across departments and accessible to the greater community through personal outreach, website management, and the use of social media. Foster innovative ways to develop new partnership opportunities between the college and the greater community.
  • Document role activities in Raiser’s Edge and Google files that support college advancement goals. This includes maintaining current business records, developing and requesting reports, and tracking project and business relationships to illustrate impact and potential.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing and potential partners to grow their relationship with the College, such as managing the Alumni Business Directory, attending and inviting guests to events, and cultivating relationships with area community organizations. Provide recommendations and insight for board and event business representation.
  • Work closely with the greater Advancement team to develop, plan and implement various college events to steward and cultivate investment in St. Norbert College. Participate in Advancement team meetings, training, and events.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • 3 years experience in sales, marketing, fundraising or a related field
  • Valid Driver’s License Required

  • Able to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; adept at resolving conflicts and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Effective multitasker with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and stay focused amid distractions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, Workday, and the ability to adapt to new technologies and software as required.
  • Able to exercise sound judgment and make decisions under pressure.
  • Able to lead by example with strong organizational skills; experienced in planning and executing events and large presentations.
