Job Description

BIM Modeler is the primary technical resource with extensive knowledge of the Hilti product portfolio and expertise in modeling Hilti support systems for MEP services. The BIM Modeler is responsible for modeling Hilti products to support MEP services (not responsible for modeling MEP, Architecture, or Structural elements) and generating output for Hilti support systems across various projects. Key Responsibilities: Maintain expert-level proficiency in drafting and modeling software such as INVENTOR, AUTOCAD, Revit, BIM360, Navisworks, Diroots, Dynamo. Develop advanced knowledge of Hilti and Oglaend engineering solutions including modular support, direct fastening, firestop, cable trays, and ladders. Provide comprehensive documentation packages: models, drawings, bill of materials, manuals, specifications, inspection reports. Respond to RFIs/RFPs/RFQs with technical and functional insights. Communicate effectively to understand and convey customer and project requirements. Keep accurate records of accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence. Estimate and schedule modeling efforts, coordinating with global and local teams. Follow PMO workflows and guidelines. Travel to project sites or customer offices as needed for meetings, training, or engineering services. Stay informed on industry standards and building codes. Perform additional duties as assigned by team leaders. Project & Teamwork: Lead modeling and documentation efforts for diverse applications involving Hilti and Oglaend products, using proprietary or third-party software. Support project managers and engineers with model quality assessments and quoting services. Advise on product selection and technical solutions proactively. Lead and collaborate with CAD designers and BIM Modelers within projects. Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts within Hilti discipline, reporting issues to engineers. Maintain high standards for software tools, modeling quality, and deliverables. Engage in active communication with sales, engineering, and customer teams to clarify technical requirements and propose solutions. Support stakeholders across departments with project-related information. Development & Working Relationships: Develop team members' drafting and modeling skills through coaching and training. Optimize and automate modeling processes; improve workflows and services. Build strong relationships with internal teams and global counterparts. Perform other key tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Degree in engineering (structural, civil, or architecture) with 3-5 years of experience. Proficiency in Revit, Inventor, Vault, BIM360, Navisworks; experience with plant design software (E3D, S3D) is a plus. Experience with MDS / MEP. Strong documentation skills. Presentation skills are advantageous. Understanding of structural modeling, MEP/FP, and anchors. Knowledge of project management and design stages. Excellent communication skills.
